Samsung N230 Series N230-11 10.1-Inch Netbook (Black) Review

Samsung N230 Series N230-11 10.1-Inch Netbook (Black)
7-22-10

Pros: Thin, Light, Samsung Quality, Good Battery Life, Anti-Gare LED, Outside Power Button, Nice Chicklet Keyboard.
Ok: Junk speakers,.. all netbooks sound like crap anyway. Should have a subwoofer like the N120 Samsung.
Cons: N450 Atom with Window7 is slower then N270 with XP. 1GB ram is no good for Window7, Start up is slow.

Overall,.. I love this Samsung Netbook. Its a keeper.

Wow! 3 Cell battery give me about 5 hours normal use.

Will upgrade ram and hard drive soon.

Come back for updates….

Samsung N120 Netbook Computer - Blue - 10.1-inch Display Review

Samsung N120 Netbook Computer - Blue - 10.1-inch Display
My daughter got a white one for Christmas in 2009. When I went looking for a new laptop for myself in May 2010 I looked at many models but ultimately concluded that all I really needed was this. The keyboard is the truly exceptional feature of this model. For me it’s indistinguishable from a full size. The battery life really is about 6 hours in real use, and the blue model isn’t any different from the black or white despite Samsung’s specs - it’s 5200 mAh, not 5900. The Samsung Recovery Solution provides a useful way to back up your netbook since Windows XP home doesn’t include backup, and will back it up straight to an external DVD so you don’t really need to lose part of your hard drive to a backup partition (an option of initial setup). I successfully upgraded mine to Windows 7 with no difficulty. The screen is quite good - bright with good contrast and color. The gloss finish on the screen picks up fingerprints easily, but the case doesn’t at all. Portability is as good as it gets. Only a smart phone really makes sense if you want to go smaller… or maybe an iPad if you don’t mind Apple’s proprietary constraints. The sound is also surprisingly good for such a small machine, though not great. The AC adapter is also quite small and light, a pleasant surprise. Overall I’m quite pleased, as everything is “good enough” and the price quite reasonable.

Netbooks are personal things and as such are prone to suffer for a few stains and dirt. The more it is, the more you have to keep on keeping it clean, used and preferred in this without damaging the surface of the screen.

Netbooks are very popular and with its popularity came problems. Some are inherent to the small size, but other issues are just as common in normal-sized laptops, such as in the Minis. One of them is to clean the screen without damaging the surface, andonly by a few additional security steps you can Netbook each, to avoid problems and a clean.

You have heard no doubt computers to the new netbooks. When she came out, many people thought that netbooks were a solution looking for a problem, but how did they evolve, these small notebooks are rapidly increasing popularity and the price continues to decrease.

The good news is that it is not nearly as many decisions you must make system option when shopping for a netbook. The reason for this is a computer that they are all prettyvery similar, and with the same restrictions. Unlike a conventional laptop or notebook or desktop computer, you can not have 25 pages about the possibilities that you add on, which can sometimes almost double the base price of the system.
